Matching games

Below, I would like to introduce you a DIY Alphabet Matching Game for Kids of preschool age. The game is simple, yet fun and entertaining.
Snowmen are the main heroes and features of this game (drawn or printed, of course, you don’t need to wait till winter to play this game). The snowman has an upper case letter on his tummy and a lower case letter on his hat – there are a number of fonts and styles to choose from
What to do:  Print snowmen with a variety of letters and cut them out.  If you mix up the pieces you can let your child match the upper and lower case letters by putting the correct hat on the correct snowman.
You can also use the snowmen to sort consonants and vowels or to spell words.
Note:  If you laminate the template pieces, you can draw on them with white board marker or crayola washable markers and then wipe off the pieces when you’re done.  This is especially useful for the Standard Printing, Script Type Printing and Cursive tracer options.
If you are interested in matching games for your iPhone or iPad devices, check out our Magikid Train. It is a great application for kids of preschool age, to develop their matching and recognition skills. In this game children have to match colors, patterns, shapes and various objects in order to proceed through the levels. The difficulty increases with each new level, making the game very entertaining and thrilling.
